This system will receive pre-assembled conponents, complete a variety of inspections, and perform a final assembly.
Sub-components are pre-loaded into custom trays. A SCARA robot then transfers the parts individually into a precision tooled fixture for a series of inspections and final assembly operations. The fixture is servo rotated as a camera checks for accurate positioning. Once relative positions are acquired, concentric rows of glue are dispensed onto the assembly. A camera completes vision inspection for location and quality of glue placement, and the components are joined. The assembly is then load tested using a force transducer. Completed parts are removed from the fixture by the SCARA robot, replaced into the trays and indexed out of the system. |
